Do I need a U.S. Passport when traveling to Mexico?
Yes, effective June 1, 2009 The Department of Homeland Security will begin enforcing this legislative 
initiative. Although, you do not need a passport to enter Mexico, you need one as you cross the border 
when you re-enter the U.S. This is required whether by foot, car, air, or sea.
